Budget Meeting: Dec. 17th @ 6pm

The board will hold a budget meeting at the main clubhouse next Tuesday, December 17 at 6:00 pm to allow the homeowners to ask questions or comment on the FY 2020 budget that you all received in the mail last week.

This meeting will be solely for the discussion on the 2020 budget and will be followed by the regular board meeting at 7:00 pm.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call our property manager at 877-423-5050.

Trash Removal Delayed

The trash pick up this week will be on Friday, December 6 due to the snowstorms we had at the beginning of the week.

If you have any questions, please contact our Property Manager at 877-423-5050.

Snow Removal Procedure Reminders

Dear Owners,

As you are aware, we are predicted to have our first snowstorm of the season starting Sunday night with the potential for significant plowable snow totals. The weather forecast is also calling for the potential mixture of rain/ice which will create slippery conditions. With this first storm, we would like to remind you:

1. Please follow the parking and snow removal rules for the Association. Vehicles parked inappropriately make it very difficult for the snow contractor to perform clean-up and can create unsafe conditions.

2. Prepare for the winter season and potential for power outages by having a flashlight, batteries, water, and radio available.

3. Please maintain the heat in your unit at a minimum of 55 degrees to prevent pipes from freezing. If you will be away, we recommend providing a key to a neighbor or friend who can periodically check in on the unit.

4. If your plumbing is located on an exterior wall, open cabinets and doors to allow heat to circulate around any plumbing. Turn off water to any exterior water spigots for your unit.

5. Stay inside during the storm and only drive if absolutely necessary.

North Point Management will be open for our normal hours on Monday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. For after-hour emergency issues that involve immediate safety and property damage issues, please use our normal toll-free number of 877-423-5050. Please do not use the after-hour emergency line for snow removal issues as Owners will be charged $65 per call for non-emergency issues.

Thank you.

VKF Board Additions & Subtractions

The Board of Directors appointed Margaret Bush as President on September 17, 2019. Margaret joined the Board in June.

Former President Michael Barry announced his resignation earlier this summer. The Barry’s have found a new home outside of Kessler Farms.

The Board and North Point Management thank Michael for his leadership and guidance. We will all miss him.

Kim Beaudoin was elected to replace Michael’s seat.

Message from Pennichuck regarding discolored water

The Board of Directors is sharing the following message from Pennichuck Water:

I want to apologize for the lack of communication with you and Kessler Farms regarding the discolored water issues you have been experiencing since last Thursday. The issue originated with ongoing construction activities on and off of Manchester Road & Tinker Road and we thought we had the situation under control on Friday. Obviously that is not the case and we will be performing extensive flushing activities tonight 9/30/19 and tomorrow 10/1/19 from 11pm – 5am to minimize the potential for discolored water. We have updated the main page of our website with the information below and a link to a map of the locations that may be effected:

Due to ongoing construction activities in northwest Nashua and parts of Amherst, some customers may experience intermittent periods of discolored water. Please click here to review a map of the area. Customers experiencing discolored water are encouraged to contact Customer Service at 800-553-5191 to report the occurrence. Information provided by our customers is helpful as we respond to alleviate the discoloration. To minimize the potential for discolored water as construction work continues over the next several weeks, Pennichuck crews will be performing flushing activities during the evening hours of Monday, September 30th and Tuesday, October 1st between the hours of 11 PM and 5 AM in limited areas of the northwest Nashua and Amherst water system. Additional flushing may be necessary. This message will be updated accordingly if additional flushing is necessary.

We currently have technicians in the field clearing discolored water at 64-74 Lochmere and will do so until it is cleared. I want to emphasize that although the water is discolored, it is safe to drink and wash with. We are tracking all calls for discolored water, so is important that anyone experiencing discolored water contact our Customer Service Dept. at 800-553-5191 and they will forward that information to my department for dispatch. I will update you both personally in the morning but feel free to reach out to me directly on my cell phone if you have any questions.
